The Earl Park Library

The Earl Park Library

The Earl Park library is a Carnegie Library that opened in 1914. The fun thing about looking at these different Carnegie Libraries this past years is seeing just how different their stories are. They all share a common theme. The town needed a library so they wrote to Mr. Carnegie. This town though had to convince the local government to back a library tax to get it made. The had to really fight for this building. All of their hard work paid off, and 110 years later there I was standing in front of it. This has been a fun hunt this past year to find some of these old buildings. I am looking forward to how many more I can find in the coming year.

The Second To Last Theme

This week I am looking at a few last libraries for the year. They are all Carnegie Libraries which I have kind of started collecting in a way. I have the first four days of this week for a theme, and then this blog will turn into a celebration of Christmas until Christmas Day. I really like making Christmas photos so it makes sense to make them for almost a month when everything looks great. I love the lights and colors of the season.
