Purdue Basketball Takes Down #2 Alabama

Purdue Basketball Gets A Big Win Over #2 Alabama

Last night was one of those nights in Mackey. The crowd was ready to cheer the Boilers on, and they were loud enough at times that my ears are still ringing. Trey Kaufman-Renn had one of those nights that will go down in Purdue history. He was unstoppable at times. His first half slam dunk was one of those moments that made Mackey explode. Early in the season you can end up with some games that are ho-hum. This was one of those games that has me excited for the start of Big Ten play. This team has the pieces to hang another banner.

Getting The Remote Back Out

I tested my remote the other night knowing that I would have it out for this game. The remote is something that is more for just a couple of moments during the game. It is a way for me to have a pulled back view of the stadium showing the full arena. I really like the photo that I got from the TKR dunk in the first half, and this photo of Braden Smith going to the hoop turned out pretty good as well. I love my tight photos of these moments, but these wide angles look pretty good as well.

The 300 For The Win Again

I really am loving this 300mm lens. It lets me get photos that I have never been able to get before at a basketball game. In the second half with Purdue going the other way I don’t have a lot of options to photograph them. With the 300mm lens though I can get their reactions as they turn around to celebrate. I am still getting used to a flow with the lenses, but I can see where this will become something that I always have with me.

Colvin For The Block

On Thursday night I saw Raven Colvin become the second Purdue volleyball player in history to get 600 blocks. Late in the game last night her brother Myles used a volleyball technique to get a block of his own. This was one of my favorite photos of the night for that reason.

A Busy Few Days

This has been a busy week as I get caught up on things. Today is probably my last football game of the year as well. It will be my fourth sporting event in three days, but I have been having a blast making photos. Hopefully I can make some fun photos to end my football year on. Of course a Purdue upset would leave me with some really amazing photos.
