Watching A Team Grow
Right now we are watching this Purdue women’s basketball team grow and learn to play together. Maybe it is my rose colored glasses, but I see the talent and think that this team can do great things together. Can they win the National Title? Probably not. Will they win the Big Ten title? Not in this field most likely. What I think that they can do is give us a fun end to this season. When these players gel I really think that they can shock some people. You can see the pieces and the potential. Can they figure it out in time is the question?
Keeping It Simple
I photographed this game with just two cameras and two lenses. No remotes. For the action close to the basket I had my 50mm lens, and for the stuff furthers away I had my 300mm lens. I really tried to stay on the 300 longer last night taking some chances. To be honest I am at this game knowing that I won’t see much if anything from it. What I can do is to get better at what I do. Keeping the players in the frame of the 300mm is not always easy as they get closer. For some of these early season games where I don’t think that the eyes will be on my gallery it is all about making stock photos of the players and improving my photography. The 300mm lens helps me do both. Tonight more eyes will be on this gallery from the men’s game so I may go a little further to try some things.
