Another Infrared View Of The Courthouse

I really like making photos of this courthouse with my infrared camera. This camera makes amazing black and white photos. I need to take it with me when I travel and have the guts to use it more. The photos don’t always come out amazing, but they often do when I remember how to use it correctly. This is one of those times when everything was working in my favor.

What Did Mark Twain Say?

When Samuel Clemens visited Lafayette in 1885 he was asked what he thought of this courthouse. His reply was “Striking, striking indeed! It must have struck the taxpayers a mighty blow!” His comment was absolutely true. The courthouse cost a half million dollars to build. That is a lot of money now let alone in 1880’s dollars.
