Going Back To School

Saturday while out on my walk around town I went past a couple of schools that I attended long ago. The other one will show up this afternoon in that post. I spent the first eight years of my education in Christian schools. The last few of those I spent at Saint Joseph’s School. This has not been a school for years now, but the building still remains. It was kind of fun to see the old buildings again. I walked by what used to be the old candy shop across the street from this school as well. The kickball area that always seemed so big looks small now. I am sure that I would hurt myself trying, but I think that I could kick a home run pretty easily now.

Lots Of Memories

For some reason I have a couple of places in this building that still appear in my dreams. I don’t know if everyone does this, but I have all kinds of childhood places that are reoccurring characters in my dreams. I have often thought that it would be cool to walk the halls of this school again to see if it is how I remember it. I am sure that it has changed a lot in the past thirty plus years though so maybe that is not such a good idea.
