The Old Garage

I have been by this garage a ton of times. While out walking around looking for fall foliage I walked past this with the light looking really good. It is a garage that is old enough to have seen some things. It has been around long enough that the area around it has changed quite a bit. With the old car in front of it I couldn’t pass up this picture. It could have been made at just about any time in the last 50 years or so. There is only one real giveaway in the photo to tell that it is a newer photo. I love those kinds of photos in the older parts of Lafayette.

A Good Walk

My youngest has a class downtown once a week. I could run home after dropping her off, but I have chosen to pick a new direction and walk each day. Of course my camera is with me, and the walk allows me to find little scenes like this. These are the quiet little moments on a walk that I like the best. In the last year or so I have had a great time finding those little quiet moments. Nothing gets me more excited than making a big image of a great landscape. I can get that same feeling making a smaller photo like the one above.
