Making Comet And Baseball Photos

My dads favorite player was Minnie Minoso the Cuban Comet. Minnie was fast, but he was not as fast as the Tsuchinshan-Atlas comet is. Here I found a way to get the comet and baseball together. My only real chance to make this photo would be at a soccer match so I used the Purdue game Thursday night as a way to get on top of the soccer stadium to make this photo.

Balancing The Light

In a situation like this one part of the fun is balancing the light. The stadium is not that bright, but it is still bright enough that you have to walk a fine line between gathering enough data for the comet and not blowing out the details in the stadium. Before the comet is completely gone I need to find a dark barn somewhere to make a photo of to see if I can get the comet a little brighter.
