A Chance To See The Aurora Again

Last week I photographed a soccer match and went home to edit the photos. I put a gallery together and put some of the photos on Instagram. All while doing that the sky was lighting up outside without me knowing about it. After I was done with my post I was heading to bed when I got a text from my brother showing me the sky. I was so wrapped up in the game that I was not checking socials. It was a big mistake as I missed a heck of a solar storm in the sky. I got out to make a few photos, but it was well after the peak of the storm. It is still pretty cool to see that sky glow.

Give Me Just One Barn!

My first try at a photo was a Hail Mary on campus. It probably wouldn’t work, but what if it did? After that I headed out of town to the west in search of anything for a foreground element. The photo above is one that I made not too far out of town just to see wha the sky was doing. I liked the power lines as something of interest in the foreground. As it turned out I never found my barn, and the first photo that I made was my best.
