Saying Goodbye To Camera Outfitters
In 2011 I had attended a photography seminar in Chicago that lit a spark for me. I was already making photos, but just kind of going through the motions. I had no idea of what to do. That day in Chicago got me really excited about photography. I needed to upgrade my Canon Rebel so I went to the local camera shop. It was there that I met Rena. She found the camera that I needed and helped me walk out the door with it that day. I wanted to photograph my cousins wedding, but after just moving and paying all of the first and last months of my bills I didn’t have a ton of money. She made sure that I had my camera and set up a plan to get the lens that came with it. Then that store closed. About the same time that my daughter was born Rena opened up Camera Outfitters in Lafayette. It was great having a local camera shop again. Over the years they have helped me solve problems and have just been great to talk to. Today is the last day that their shop will be open. It is a sad day for me, but a happy day for them. They get to go out and make photos now.
Make Today Their Busiest Day Ever
Head down to the shop today and help make this the busiest day ever for Ross and Rena. I of course love photography and I think that every town needs a local camera shop. I will be there at some point today to say goodbye and probably buy something that I shouldn’t.
