Having Gobs Of Fun At The Mound Barn Near Veedersburg, Indiana
A while back while on the way home from a softball tournament I stopped at this barn to make some images. I had a few cameras with me so I had some fun making photos with a few of them. Here is a look at three of those images and how using different cameras and mediums can change the look of the photo.
Sony A7RIII With Sony 24-105mm Lens
This is my go to camera when out on the road. It is the control in these little experiments. This is the camera I used everyday so I know exactly what it does. It is perfect to use this to compare the other photos to. This is a simple photo of a barn, but I like how it turned out. This is a fun barn with some character to it.
Sony A7RIII (Infrared)
This photo was made with my Sony A7RIII that was converted to make infrared images. The infrared camera sees reflected light, and I don’t know that there was enough contrast here for a good photo. Normally a white barn would look good against the dark sky, but here things just didn’t pop for me.
Fujica AX-3 With Kodak Ektar 100
This is becoming my favorite film camera. The old Fuji just makes good photos, and it is very easy to use. Here I had my Fuji 50mm lens on it and Ektar 100 inside of it. I really like the way that Ektar looks. It just hits every time for me. Here the colors are perfect and this is a very pleasing photo to me.
My Favorite Of The Three Photos
You could probably tell from the write up, but I really like how the Fuji with the Ektar film in it looked. I think that it is my clear favorite of the three images. The infrared image just didn’t work for me. The image with my everyday camera is nice, but I really like the look of the Ektar film. Which one is your favorite?
