Sunset On Main Street

I made this photo a couple of months ago while walking downtown. My daughter was in a class at Flourish Studios, and I was walking to pick her up when I saw this great light. I made a photo with a couple of cameras that I had with me. You have already seen the photo that I made with my Sony camera here. I sort of like this film look a little more. The details are not all there, but I think that is what I like about it. Which of these two photos is your favorite?

The Minolta SRT 101

This is an old film camera that I picked up cheap from Camera Outfitters a while back. As I write this post they have less than a month to go as a business. The sad fact is starting to sink in for me that in a month we will not have a local camera shop. It is nice to have a place to go to when you have questions or just want to talk about photography. It is nice to have a place that cares about you and makes sure you have what you need. If you live in the Lafayette area head down there and say goodbye soon.
