The Oppenheimer Building Downtown

One of my favorite buildings to photograph downtown is the Oppenheimer building. At some point in most downtowns the buildings all look the same. Last year when I was writing about a new building every Thursday I featured this building for a couple of reasons. One of them is the unique name of it. With the movie Oppenheimer doing so well the name of the owners that remodeled it suddenly has a little more recognition. The other reason is just how unique and beautiful it is. This building just sticks out downtown from the others. The detail is amazing on it. Just down the street from this building is the Oppenheimer house which would be another great subject for the blog. I think that it would look best in the fall with some beautiful leaves in front of it.

Waiting For The Right Moment

I made this photo a while back while out on a photowalk. I wanted someone interesting walking through the light. This gentleman snuck into the frame earlier from the left hand side and I missed the opportunity. Luckily for me he came back shortly after to walk through the right side of the frame. It is a small detail, but I think that it adds something to the photo.
