Walking Down Main Street In The Rain

Friday night I was walking to my car after seeing Clue at the Civic Theatre. Friday was a day that was just a rainy mess all day. I could have let that get to me and been bothered, or I could lean into it and make some rainy night photos. I chose to find some reflections to make photos in. It is far better to use the elements and lean into them rather than complain about them. I didn’t have a ton of time so I tried to find some subjects that I liked very quickly. I was about a half block away from the theater getting into my car when I realized that this one more photo couldn’t hurt. I am glad that I walked down to make this image.

One More Photo

I used to talk about this concept when I was making a lot of bird photos. I used to do my best work when I stayed a little after I initially wanted to go home. Here on this night I made my best photo after I already had my bag in the car. I got it back out for one more image. I am glad that I did.
