An Old Allis Chalmers Building

Allis Chalmers as a company has a special meaning for me. Back in my hometown it is the company that employed my grandfather. It is where he worked for years and eventually retired from. I heard the name a lot as a kid. Now the name does not come up so much. When I saw that this building used to sell them I thought that it was pretty cool.

The Cool Building In Town

I will admit that when I made this photo I had no idea what it was for. It was just a super cool building in Boswell, Indiana. You hear the term ‘they don’t make ’em like this anymore’ quite a bit. This is one case where it really is true. They don’t make buildings like this anymore. It has such a cool look to it that it just made sense to make sure that I had a cool photo of it.
