Having Some Fun With The Infrared Camera
Last week while waiting on my daughter to get out of her class I went for a photowalk in downtown Lafayette. I had my infrared camera with me to try a few things. The way that the infrared camera works gives me results that make me think of Ansel Adams. I would never compare anything that I do to his work, but I like the idea of trying to imitate him a little.
Seeing In Infrared
One fun thing about the infrared camera is that it forces you to see things differently. You always have to see the light when making photos, but here you have to see what will reflect the light. Late in the day the courthouse will reflect all of the light while the sky will not leaving it black. With that in mind I was having fun trying to find locations with the light reflecting strongly like in the photo above. I really like how this one turned out.
