The Kosciusko County Jail

When walking Warsaw, Indiana I went in with very little expectations. I did not research the town before going. I wanted to go in without any ideas. That led to a fun discovery when we saw this old jail. From afar we wondered what this was, and I was shocked when I saw that it was the old jail. This does look like a fortress though which I guess you would want your jail to look like. I loved the look of this building, and I immediately thought of this kind of black and white treatment for it.

Living At The Jail

When this jail was in use the sheriff lived on the second story. He was always there to act as the warden. This was a different time, but I cannot imagine a sheriff today moving into the jail. This would be a cool house though as long as it isn’t filled with criminals.
