A Movie Quality Sunset

A Great Sunset At The Movies

The other night I was walking by the movie theater when I saw this great last light of the day from over the movie marquee. I knew that I had just a few moments of light, but I was going to take full advantage of it. I of course had my camera out quickly and took a few bracketed exposures. In Lightroom I merged those exposures into this HDR image that you see above. Someday cameras will evolve to see what the human eye can see, but until then we have to use tricks like HDR to get there.

Get Out There And Make Photos

I saw this light only because I decided to see the new mural down on the Wabash Landing Apartments. I made some photos of it in the good light, and then went back to my car. I saw this a lot, but you can only find cool things if you are out there looking for them. This has been an amazing few days watching artists from all over the world in town to paint murals. They all have a different style and process. There is a lot to take from my time with them. Next week I will share a little from each artist.
