The History Of The Jesse Andrew House
For years on my way into campus I have walked by this house. Students have come and gone, but the house remains. It wasn’t until recently that I found out more about this house and why it is so cool. This is the Jesse Andrew house. Jesse Andrew was one of the original 43 residents of West Lafayette. He was responsible for laying out the town initially. This house built in 1859 is the oldest house in West Lafayette. Think about that. This home was built before the start of the civil war. It stayed with the family until the 1980’s when it was sold to a rental company. When you walk by the house it does not look so old, but now that I know the history of the house I make sure to take a second look whenever I walk by it. I think that this infrared image of it gives it an older film feel that I really like.
Purdue Week
With this being the first week of classes at Purdue I thought that my theme this week will be Purdue week. I will be looking back at some of my favorite photos from this past year that for some reason never made it onto the blog. I have a fun project that I am working on this week that hopefully will show up soon on the blog for you to see.
