The Pinola Water Tower

This is a fun water tower to add to this theme this week. This is in Pinola, Indiana. When I first started making photos sort of seriously I started calling the business Pinola Photo after this small little town. It is the little town that became the name for what I do so why not show off an old photo of the water tower that I made. I made this photo with my Canon 60D and the Canon 18-135mm lens that came with it. I bought both of those together in a kit from the old Barry’s Photo in Lafayette. When that closed Rena who sold me the cameras started up her own business Camera Outfitters. They have been so good to me over the years, and I am sad to see them closing their doors in October. This is one of the early photos with my new gear that they sold me.

Water Tower Week

One thing that is slowly fading away is the classic look of the small town water tower. They have always had a great look to them, but slowly they are being replaced by water towers that are not so photogenic. This week I thought that it would be fun to take a look at some of those water towers.
