A Beautiful Night For Photos

Last night I went up to campus to see if the sky would light up. On nights like last night it just takes a little break in the clouds for an amazing sunset. I did not get the sky on fire, but I did have a fun time up on campus. A lot of the freshmen were out and about looking at everything with the wide eyes of someone seeing it for the first time. It is always fun to see that early year excitement.

Changing Plans

This post was originally going to be a soccer sunset. That pass did not happen so I went up to campus to make a sunset photo. That did not happen either. I was read to leave and head home when I saw this photo on my way back to the car. the sky was looking pretty cool, and the union was looking great too. One hundred years after being built this building is still one of my favorites to photograph on campus. This was a very fun photo that it took a couple of false starts to find. Sometimes the best photos are the ones that you didn’t think to make.
