Trying Out The Sony 300mm Lens At The Purdue Volleyball Scrimmage

Having Some Fun At The Purdue Volleyball Scrimmage

Yesterday I went to the Purdue volleyball scrimmage with the idea of getting some of the rust out, and trying the new to me Sony 300mm lens. I had other gear with me, but I started having fun trying to see how far I could push things with this lens. After a while not making sports photos I was very rusty at the beginning. By the time that I left I was getting closer and closer trying to really push myself. This is a fun time of year when the sports get a little faster. Baseball can be a slow sport at times to photograph. You have time to think and plan. With sports like volleyball you are reacting quickly. It is always fun to get those muscles working again.

A Little Break

I have not really been posting sports photos on here in a while. I think it had been over a month since my last sporting event. I have been having fun with other kinds of photography that are not as time intensive as sports photography can be. This fall I still plan on making sports photos, but I will be much more selective with what I do. Below are a few bonus photos from my time in Holloway yesterday. Normally I like to switch things up so that everything doesn’t come from one lens, but yesterday was about having some fun.
