A Fun Photo

A few weeks ago I made this photo while walking back to my car from the Saturday on the Square that was held around the courthouse. I love the mural on the Lafayette Civic Theatre building and combined with the church steeple and everything else in the frame I thought that this worked very well as a photo.

Converting To Black And White

One thing that I don’t do often to my film images is to convert them to black and white. For some reason with most of them I think that I have chosen the film for a certain look so there is no need to convert. With my digital images when the color is not adding to the photo I have no trouble taking it out. In fact looking at the photo I realized that there was a lot in the frame that was distracting. A little crop and color conversion changed that for me. You can see the original frame below.
