Kodak Color Plus At Sunset
When I was on the scene making photos here I had three cameras with me. I had planned on making a post with the three images that I made at the time. The camera that I had the least faith in that night was my Canon AE-1 which was loaded with Kodak Color Plus. I have mixed results with the Canon AE-1. Sometimes I have photos that are amazing with it, but more often than not something is not right with the photo. In the camera I had Kodak Color Plus 200 which is a film on the cheaper side. Here though all of the components came together for one of my favorite campus photos of the year. Part of the fun of the three camera experiment is finding things that you might not have seen before by just trying something. Here it really worked out.
The Digital Photo
Digital photos don’t always have the dynamic range of a film photo. Here you can see what I got with my Sony at the same time. It is a subtle difference, but one that really makes the photo for me. As I am writing this post I can’t help but think of how good photos would look on a medium format camera. I think I have a little more to learn with film before I jump on that train though.
