A Peak Into Some Of The Art On Wabash Avenue

This has been a fun week looking at some of the art on Wabash Avenue. It is really inspiring to drive through there and see what all of these artists have done. I have no idea how you come up with the initial idea for these large murals let alone getting them onto the walls. It is an amazing process I am sure. This year it would be fun to get out there and photograph some of the process while it is happening. One great thing about living here in the Lafayette area is that you have art all around to explore.

Wabash Walls Week

This week my afternoon posts will all be showing a different portion of the Wabash Walls project. I love these themes in the summer as they give me a goal at a time when I don’t have the most time to make photos. The Wabash Walls project is a great one because it is a theme for the week, but it is also inspiring. These artists are amazing at what they do. It is one thing to sketch something on paper. It is another to make a large mural on the side of the building. This as a fun week looking at these murals. Below are a few smaller scenes from my drive down Wabash Avenue and the area around it.
