A Great Date In History
This date always means something special to me. It is my fathers birthday and also the anniversary of the moon landing. They landed on the moon to celebrate my father’s 25th birthday. This mural in downtown Cincinnati celebrates Ohio native Neil Armstrong who was the first man on the moon. Of course being that first man he was making all of the photos, and I don’t know that any footage of him on the moon exists. This is a fun new view for me. On this anniversary of the moon landing it is also a fun way to remember this Purdue graduate.
About The Mural
This mural is located on the Fifth Third building in downtown Cincinnati. It was painted by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra. Before painting this mural Eduardo was in Rio painting a huge mural for the 2016 Olympic Games. This mural is gigantic and I cannot imagine what went into making it. These are the types of things that would be fun to document being made. That could be a fun photo story for this blog someday. Edit: I wrote this post a while back before anything else around it was written. Now I realize that it is pretty cool that this mural post is right in between two weeks of mural posts. It is timely in a couple of ways which is always cool.
