A Snowy Day At The Purdue Memorial Union

Snow Day At The Union

I obviously made this photo a while back now. The snow on the ground might be the clue to that mystery. As I will talk about below something happened to this photo and the others on the roll. Light was let into the process somewhere along the line. It lead to happy little accidents like this photo. I think that it ruined some of the others, but this one looks kind of dreamy with the white on the top and bottom of the image. I have a crystal clear version of this scene from the mirrorless camera on the day that I made it. I kind of like having something a little different.

A Weird Roll Of Film

I just got some film back this weekend though with this image on it, and I wanted to share it. I made it during a walk on campus that I kind of have forgotten about already. It was a beautiful day though so this film should have looked amazing. Something happened along the way though. The film looks as if it had some light leaks or something happened during the processing of it. This is the first roll out of this camera to have an issue so I guess I have to run a test roll to see what is going on in the camera.

Edit: Since I wrote this post I have found some terrible reviews on both the company where I bought this film and the film itself. I was watching a YouTube video where the photographer was using some very old expired film and I realized that it looked exactly like my roll of film. When I looked up the company and the film I realized that this is a common issue. The artifacts that I thought was the remjet from another film in the developer turned out to be from mine more than likely. I will treat my second roll of this film as if it is expired roll. I will make photos but not rely on any of them. The Cute Camera company has a fun name, but not a good product apparently.
