A Vintage Baseball Game At Prohpetstown
Saturday afternoon they held a vintage baseball game at the farm at Prophetstown State Park. I always enjoy these as they are still baseball to photograph, but something a little different for me. I love the idea of these games. You have the barnstorming team playing a local club. These are friendly games, but both teams still obviously want to win. It is fun to see how they compete against each other using older rules and equipment. If you read this blog even a little then you know that I love both barns and baseball. Combining the two makes for a pretty cool day.
Having Some Fun
I wasn’t there covering this for anyone so I was just having some fun and trying to make some interesting photos. I didn’t want a couple of memory cards to edit so I tried to not go too crazy with what I was making. Simple photos like the one above kind of tell a little story of the game and give some context as to where they were playing.
Look Out!
The field where the game was being played is usually a pasture for horses. There were some extra things to avoid and dodge as these players played on Saturday.
More Photos From The Game
Below are a few bonus photos from the game. The gallery is unlocked if you want to use them for any non-commercial purpose. All I ask is that you credit me for doing so.
