The Remington American Legion

This American Legion sits in downtown Remington. This week I am looking at American Legion buildings around the area, and this one was the legion that made me think about this idea. Back in my hometown we always heard about heading to the legion, and I went with a few times. This legion sitting in Remington made me think of all of those who have served that have gone through that door. You can never thank them enough, but a week honoring these buildings seemed like a good idea.

What better week to take a look at some American Legion buildings than this week? The legion was founded with patriotism in mind, and you don’t see as much patriotism as you do this week. Beyond being a way to help promote patriotism the legion also is an advocate for veterans. They were a key part in the G.I. Bill getting passed.
