The Cades Mill Covered Bridge

The Cades Mill Covered Bridge

A couple of weekends ago I was down in Covington, Indiana for a softball tournament. On my way home Sunday I made a few little side trips for some photos. The first of those trips was to the Cades Mill covered bridge. Before the photography bug hit me over twenty years ago I visited many of the bridges of Madison Country while I lived in Iowa. I love the idea of these covered bridges and how they are still around for us to see. This bridge will pop up again on this blog.

When Luck Is On Your Side

I made many photos of this bridge for about twenty minutes with it all to myself. I used a few film cameras for a future blog post along with a couple of digital cameras. I was having some fun with this bridge. After I was done making my photos I drove down the road a bit to see what I could find down there. On my way back There was a car parked right up against the guardrail in front of the bridge. They were unloading kayaks so I assumed they would be there for a while. I am glad I made it here when I did so that I could make the photos that I wanted of the bridge.
