The Reynolds Frosty Freeze

A Look Into The Past

I made this photo almost twelve years ago. I was on my way back to Purdue and saw this little scene. Back then I only posted on photo a day and anything else that I made would not be seen. This was a little gem that was never published. Looking back at it now I think that except for the security camera in the photo this photo is pretty timeless. It could have been taken at any point in recent history. The Frosty Freeze sign and the TV antenna are both relics from another period. I really like this simple photo.

The Old Gear

I made this photo with my old Canon 60D and the Tamron 10-24mm lens on it. This was a pretty standard setup for me back then. On the crop frame body the 10-24mm lens was more like a 16-38mm lens. Most of my photos would have been taken at the 16mm end of that range. Here though I had the good sense to use the lens at about 20mm so everything is not too distorted. For an older photo of mine I really like this one.
