My Last Purdue Baseball Game Of The Year
Friday night the softball game that I was going to be at was cancelled which let me catch one last Purdue baseball game this year. I started off strong going to many of the games, but it had been over a month since my last one. This is a fun team to watch, and I wish that there were more of me so that I could have caught more games. The field was full of the numbers of the seniors that would not be back. Many of those players I have photographed for a few years now, and it will be weird not seeing them at the park next spring. If there had to be a night to finish the season on it would have been this one. The sky was beautiful and the night ended with a trophy being raised.
My Last Purdue Event Of The School Year
Things have be so crazy lately that it didn’t hit me until Sunday that this was my last Purdue event of the year. My year usually starts at the first soccer or volleyball match of the year, and will end with baseball typically. This year was much different than in years past. In the past I would trade my photos for passes to events. When the passes quit coming I had to come up with another plan. This was my first full school year making images for the wire service. It is a different gig for sure, but it got me on the field. It was also a way to expand what I do a little and cover both teams at events. In the next week or so I will have a post up going through some of my favorite photos from this school year from the Purdue side.
More Photos From The Game
Below are a few bonus photos that I liked from the game. I have not photographed a lot of baseball yet this year so I almost felt rusty early on. In the next couple of months things will pick up with the Aviators starting play. This was a good tune up for the summer ball season. Here are a few of my favorite images from the game.
