Stumbling Into A Story

Last night I had an hour to kill while my little one was at scouts. It doesn’t make sense to go home so I usually just drive around Lafayette to find something new. I was heading back to Main Street when a ton of firetrucks went by me. I saw the smoke downtown and found a safe place to park and check it out. I didn’t want to get in the way, but there was a photo that could be made here. Part of what I have been trying to do is to document the area where I live. This is definitely something to document. I don’t always plan on chasing spot news, but here things just fell into my lap to make a photo.

Keeping It Positive

I usually try and keep it positive on this blog. If you want negative stories these days you don’t have to look very hard to find them. I usually try and find something good to show off. I was hesitant to post this photo, and in fact I took the night to think about whether or not I would post it here. I do like the story in the photo though so it makes the blog. I will have a pretty, positive photo for the blog later in the day.
