Another View Of Columbia Street

I have been having some fun making photos of this new building on Columbia Street. Here I found a simple way to show it off a little. It looks great at night lit up, but it also can look good during the day. In this area everything seems to change quickly. Today this is a newer structure in Lafayette, but in the future it could be an older one. It will be fun documenting this building over time.

Black And White

I really like how this turned out in black and white. The sun was getting ready to come out when I made this, but it hadn’t made an appearance yet. We had just been through a period of lots of rain so the sun was a welcome site. I made a color photo from across the street that I really liked. Here with the gray sky black and white was the choice. As I get further down this photography road it is fun to edit the photo in your head as you make it. You know what you will be doing when you get home. This one turned out very much like how I hoped it might.
