Caught On A Bad Hair Day

As I was leaving the Celery Bog today I spotted this blue jay just hanging out low and out of the wind for the most part. Everything seemed normal until it turned towards me, and the feathers flew up on its head. It now had the look of some cool South American bird with a little something on its head. As a photographer my job is rarely to make my subjects look bad, but this was too fun of a photo to pass up.

Where Are The Warblers?

Usually when the redbud trees are in bloom I am heavy into warblers. Today the conditions seemed perfect to make some warbler photos. I saw a few here and there, but not in the numbers that I was hoping for. Maybe they are just a little late to the party.
