Just After The Eclipse

Moments after totality was over I made this photo of the old service station in Thorntown. This is a cool old building that you will see a few times on this blog before it is all over. We actually watched the eclipse a few steps away from this historic building. The light was kind of eery and I wanted to play around with it a little. When you have a cool subject a few steps away why not use it?

Eclipse Portraits

In this crazy looking light I made some portraits of the kids. It is not everyday that you can use eclipse light for portraits. A first I think that they thought I was crazy, but I think that it worked out. When we were headed down to Thorntown to see the show I knew that I wanted to document more than just the eclipse. Those photos are cool, but I wanted to share it with the kids as well. Having some fun in the crazy light was one way to do that.
