Purdue Is Headed To The Final Four!
I just wanted to type that a couple of times. It sounds really good doesn’t it? Those are words that I have been waiting to type for years. Back when I had a sports blog where I made horrible predictions I thought that I was going to be able to type those words but then Purdue went to Minnesota for a game, and everything changed. I don’t know that I have ever wanted a basketball game more than I did yesterday. I have seen some of these Boilers do things for people that they did because of the people that they are. This is a great group of kids that deserves everything that they have coming to them. The best part is that they have more games to play. When Purdue clinched it yesterday I was standing in front of Harry’s making photos. Just before the final buzzer I was thinking about 2010 and what could have been. I was thinking about last year and what happened. I had thoughts of making photos of the fans in 2019 for the school thinking that they would be in a gallery celebrating the final four. The road to the final four was long, but this team made it happen. I was overcome with emotion outside of Harry’s. I tried not to show it, but it got a little dusty real fast. Words cannot express how proud I am of what this team does both on and off the court.
Welcome Home Boilers!
I have never gone to an airport celebration before last night. There have been a few times when Purdue has had a few people at the airport, but last night I decided to go. It was amazing to see the crowd that came out on Easter Sunday to cheer on this team. I saw kids that go to school with my little one that I knew had to be up early yelling at the team as they went by. This was a special night. I know that the players think that the job is not done. There is still more basketball left to play. Tonight was a fun night to celebrate a little though. I am a firm believer in practice. Practice makes perfect. We had a little practice last night for a homecoming next week. Below are a few photos from our first run through of this victory celebration.
