A Snowy Day At Happy Hollow

A couple of days a week during the winter I found myself at Happy Hollow school. Every time that I pulled up I would look for a way to photograph it. I came up with a few ideas to try on other days, but I rarely stopped to make a photo. On this day something about then snow and the sky made me grab my camera and make this photo.

Making Photos For You

Over the course of the past year I have gotten a little more selfish with my photography. I started making photos for me. It is nice to have an audience, but guessing what people want to see is never fun. When you make photos that you want to see you get personally invested in them, and I think that things work out because of that. Viewership of the blog has gone up, and my Instagram has grown in that time. Maybe both would have happened anyway, but I like to think that it is because I am having more fun making the images.
