Getting Out There
Last week the kids were on spring break. They are not always down for heading out on photography trips with me so I kind of took it easy last week. That is a good thing. We had some fun hanging out, and I was able to refill the photography tank a little. Every now and then you need to step back a little to relight the fire. On this day my little one was hanging out with her aunt so I had a little time on my hands. I went for a drive to make some photos. I went down a road that I have not been on for years and I found this old barn.
Trying It All
Years ago I was told that I need to specialize in photography. I was too all over the place to gain a following. That may be true. I really like the fact that this blog could literally be about anything on any given day. I really couldn’t imagine photographing the same thing all of the time. Back home there are people that photograph the same lighthouse nearly every day. That is one way to make killer images because you are always around it. They love it and that is great. I need to try new things though. When I was younger and played sports I never was the best at any sport. I could hold my own in nearly any sport though. I loved playing many sports instead of just focusing on one. I think that my photography follows a similar path. I will get my sports work in, and a barn like the one above for sure. What will tomorrow bring though? That is the fun of doing this thing.
