Inside Woodside

Revisiting Woodside

Nearly a decade ago I made a trip a couple of hours away to see the Frank Lloyd Wright home Woodside. My father in law is a Wright expert so it was cool to tour this home with him. In my high school days I of course heard of Wright, but it has been fun in the past year or so learning more about the people that influenced Wright and worked with him back in the day. I am scheduling this post so I don’t know how far into the future you will read this. When I was writing the post I looked up the home and saw that it can be rented to stay in. I don’t know how many times that a Wright home became a rental, but this has to be rare. It almost might be worth renting this home for a couple of nights just for the photography. On the day I visited here it was during the harsh midday light hours. Getting a chance at sunrise and sunset to photograph this home would be amazing.

Revisiting Old Photos

Some of the fun of growing as a photographer is growing with how you view your editing. When I visited this site I was all about HDR and making everything show up in photos. I have grown away from that a little, and I am more comfortable letting stuff like the things outside the windows blow out a little. I had some fun editing a photo that never made it onto the website here with a style that is more what I would do today.
