Blue Hour At China 1

A Beautiful Morning For Photos

That might be a lie. This was a terrible, rainy morning. Rainy mornings though can still make for good photos. With the rain still coming down that meant that the ground was very reflective. I was able to get down to the Levee Plaza area during blue hour which really helped make this mostly yellow building stand out. I don’t know when this post will go live. As I write it though this building is still standing. By the end of this year I don’t expect that to be the case. This old Pizza Hutt is a small sliver into what buildings looked like when I was younger so I wanted to get out and document it before it is gone. I really like how this photo turned out. I struggled to find the right angle to really make this building look good. Here on a rainy morning I was able to make the photo that I wanted to make.

A Small Sliver In Time

There is a window that appears during the year when I can get both kids to school and still get to photograph blue hour and sunrise. It seems like more often than not the best sunrise happens while I am getting the kids to school. For a short period of time though I can take my time and get to a spot. Here the window was closing a little so I had to pick somewhere close to make my photo. I like how this turned out.
