Purdue Softball Opens Up The 2024 Home Season

Yesterday I photographed my first softball game of 2024. For baseball I had at least photographed a scrimmage or two leading up to the official start of the year. My first of what I hope to be a lot of softball this year was in doubt for most of the morning. It was raining with a lot of thunder and even some hail until about an hour before I was going to leave for the park. It was as if the softball gods wanted this game to happen. I was good to be back out at Bittinger again making images.

Getting Used To A New Setup

As with most lenses I am really having too much fun using my 300mm lens. I took it thinking that I would use it a little, but I ended up relying on it a lot. I paired it with my 135mm lens for most of the in game action. I really like how both of these lenses help me make photos. It will be fun to really get used to this setup as the season moves on.
