Trying Out The Sony 300mm Lens
This morning my Sony 300mm lens showed up at my door. I wanted a chance to get out and test it so I went down to the Schwartz Tennis Center to give it a go. This lens is so small and light that it will be in my rotation from here on out. For tennis it was a little tight at times. I was there to test it though and not cover game action so I had some fun trying to fit the action into my viewfinder. I really like what this lens will let me do, and it passed the first test with flying colors. The next test will be tonight at the Purdue basketball game.
More Photos From The Test
This lens means that I am not done making photos when the sun goes down now. I really was missing a longer prime lens this fall, and now I have one. I can’t wait to try it out at all of my sports. Volleyball is the one sport where I felt that I was really coming up short. I need to find some spring matches to get this thing out to. Below are a few favorites from my short time at tennis. I really only saw the very end of one doubles match, but it was full of emotion which made for good photos.
