A Light Day At The River

Back To The Eagles

Yesterday I went back down to the Wabash River to see the eagles. There were seven hanging out when I got there, but they were not feeling like getting off their perch. I saw a couple of attempts by the youngest eagles to grab fish with no luck. The fish were really starting to move in the water when a man started walking right under where the eagles were perched. They quickly scrambled and got out of there. Some days you have the best luck with the eagles, and other days you don’t see a good strike. That is how this is.

More Photos From The Day

Below are a couple of bonus photos from my short time at the river. Reading the above paragraph again you might think that I didn’t see anything cool. Truth is I would have taken any of these photos back in the day when I would show up at the river with my 70-200mm lens hoping for anything close to me. We really are lucky to have the eagles doing their thing right in our backyard.
