The Front Door Of The James Ward House

Lafayette is full of amazing old houses. The town has a rich history, and some of it is still there for you to see. Here is the front door of the James Ward house. It is a beautiful old mansion on Columbia Street that was built in 1875. This is a house that I have driven by a few times but never really stopped to look at it. On a walk with my wife I finally stopped and made some photos of it.

The End Of Black And White Month?

Tomorrow I have a black and white photo scheduled. After that though this fun month of posting and thinking about black and white photos may be over. I plan on rolling out seven posts about the Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships during the first four days of next week. To be honest I have been having fun with the colors during swimming. I think that I am photographing a school with cool school colors that also happen to look good against the Big Ten blue. I will have to figure out a way to get those seven posts out, but I don’t want to wait too long. Time will tell, but these might be the last two posts of the black and white fun this month.
