Diving Into The River

As I said earlier today I went down to the river to make eagle photos. When the ring billed gulls showed up I decided to make photos of them for my black and white project. Of course the deep blue skies made the normally brown water look pretty good. I still edited this photo how I had in mind when I saw it on the back of the camera, but I really like how the blue water looks here.

The Black And White Edit

This was my idea for the edit when I saw the photo in the back of the camera. I really think that the color edit is the way to go on this photo. Of course this month is all about seeing things in black and white so I am glad that I had the idea for this photo. This has been a fun month trying to see light a little different. Always looking with black and white in mind has really helped me. I don’t know that I will go with whole month themes though from here on out. It is hard not to post color images for an entire month. Next month I will probably say that I will only post color images, and then I will find many black and white images that I will want to post.
