Dream Walkin’
I was out on campus one night trying to find some light to play with. I had a specific edit in mind with a black and white image. I really wanted to silhouette a student walking out of Armstrong against that light in the background. The only problem was that I was up there on Friday night and very few kids were walking around the buildings. I decided to try and silhouette Neil Armstrong against the light. I like how this turned out.
Does That Blue Moon Ever Shine On You?
Yesterday as I said in my earlier post I found out that Toby Keith passed away. There have been moments in my life when his music has seemed to synch up with what is going on. When I moved to Iowa my things were coming behind me in a truck. That truck took a month to get there. For that month my living room had a chair that I bought along with a CD clock radio. I had three Toby Keith CD’s that kept me occupied when I was in my apartment. When I moved to West Lafayette in 2011 Toby released an album that might just be his best in my mind. That CD played in my apartment there as well. Over a long period of time that man just kept writing good music. It is not often that I hear about a death of a celebrity and pause for a moment. That was definitely the case yesterday. This post is kind of a hat tip to a man that provided some of the soundtrack for my life. If you are interested here is a little playlist that I have called Toby. This got a lot of play yesterday.
