Just One Photo

Going Out For Just One Photo

Before heading to baseball on Saturday I went out to Harrison for a photo. I told my wife I was just going to make one photo. Of course that one photo turned into me photographing the entire first half of the game. It was a good game between two county schools and I think I was feeling some of that when I decided to stay a little longer. I went out with a photo like the one above in mind. With this black and white project I am thinking about good light. There is no better light in basketball than that intro light. Harrison does an amazing job with the spotlights on the players. Of course for the project I made the photo into a black and white, but I really like how the photo turned out in color much better.

Trying To Think Differently

Early in the season I was still covering every play of the games. I would miss on fun shots to make sure that I got the shot of the big play. Harrison has a team photographer though so I really don’t need to do that. When I am there I can just have some fun and make the photos that I want to make. The photo above is an example of that. There was play happening at the time, but I slid over to make this photo. It shows how hard these county games are, and might be my favorite from the game. When I am just messing around I need to get better at getting out of that game action mode, and more into creative mode. Below are a few bonus photos that I liked from the game.
