A Familiar Spot Near Triple XXX

This morning with my monochrome project in mind I hopped in the car to find something lit up well before the sun rose. I had no plan, but knew that I needed to head somewhere. Just before turning to head into Lafayette I changed my mind. I thought of this photo at Triple XXX. This is a great monochrome subject because of the way the light comes through the windows and lights everything up. It is a good start to what could be an interesting month.

Wouldn’t You Know?

It has been so gray and with very few good sunrises lately so coming up with a monochrome project seemed like a good idea. This is the time of year with very little color anyway. Of course today was an amazing sunrise. My first photo of the monochrome month turned out to be a nice colorful sunrise photo from this spot. After making the colorful photo I turned and made the photo at the time of this post. It is funny how things work sometimes.
