Above The Lighthouse

Flying High Above The Michigan City Lighthouse

I made this photo in 2017 flying around the Michigan City lighthouse just after a big freeze had ended. The lighthouse had been surrounded by ice not long before we were up there. There were still some remnants of the ice around the lighthouse so it was fun to take the drone up to see what was going on. I have always loved lighthouses. I have not been to one in quite a while. Maybe it is time for that to change.

Rethinking Old Photos

Looking at this photo I instantly came up with a cool concept if I am ever lucky enough to be there at about this time again. It is fun how your eye changes over time. Of course I made this about six years ago so I have seen a lot more over time. I would love to really play with that shadow if I had the chance to do this all over again. Part of the fun of growing as a photographer is going back to old subjects and seeing them differently.
