A Busy Morning On Campus

I made this photo one morning as finals week was starting. I thought that the sky could light up so after getting the kids to school I went up to one of my favorite parts on campus. I will admit that my main thought that morning was to photograph the sunrise with the Christmas lights that are all around campus, but with the Daniels School of Business soon changing how it looks it only made sense to photograph it too.

Adding Something Extra

I made some photos of this scene with nothing on the road. The photos looked okay. One of them might find their way onto this blog someday. I realized that something in the foreground would add to the photo. The obvious choice was one of the buses that are always making their way around campus. I slowed my shutter speed down just enough to slightly blur the bus. I wanted to still know what it was, but to also show the early morning movement on campus. I like how that little bit extra helped make this a better frame.
